and i have a new mattress!! well not yet but it will be here in 2 weeks!not that it comes with anything quite as interesting as the one in the picci but at least it will be good for my back..
have been procrastinating about this for a while now and finally had to bite the bullet and just buy one.
found some more street art which is actually quite fitting for the coming new moon - opposites are so fun...
at a loss for something to do tonight so i think i might just coast around and see what grabs my attention, haven't been to the movies for a while and don't even know whats showing but i'm sure i'll find something
of posting, i'm swept away in the land of work and today i see that i haven't actually posted for a while, and the last attempt was pretty pitiful.
been having so much fun at work that i haven't noticed that the weeks are passing quickly. Don't get me wrong it's been a lot of hard work and my learning curve has gone into overdrive. Seems to be the story of my year so far...
Have been contemplating entering into the dating scene again. now when i say again i had one attempt earlier this year which while a good, if not unusual, experience showed me that i wasn't ready to enter into that mindfield quite yet. But now that winter is leaving us for another year and things are starting to thaw out, i'm recognizing that i now have a growing sense of confidence and that maybee i can transpose that to my life outside of work. I don't know just toying with the idea really.....
Have been watching the L Word and if their test is accurate then i am actually a lesbian, all be it a very hairy one! Take the test for yourself, according to one character in the show, if your ring finger is longer than your index finger then you are a lesbian. which begs the question, which had do i measure? the traditional (read straight)left hand or the widely used right (read "GLBTQI and all label non-specific persons") hehe!!! Honestly who thinks these things up? but the L Word is a lot of fun and i'm particularly taken with the online 0 degrees of separation map!!
went to the Jason Mraz concert and i've gotta say it was the best performance i've seen in a long, long time. Very talented man and an incredible performer. The best way i can describe the way i felt when i walked out was an incredible release of pure joy!
after a month of exhausting but very enjoyable work i have a week off and find myself in the position of not knowing what to do with my time.
have been rambling around the house and have finally gotten to do some fun stuff with photo's. in my new mode of embracing new media i've been playing with my camera and experimenting with light.
i've always held a secret belief that self portraiture was a little self indulgent but i've had to rethink this, somewhat, because on a practical note i don't know anyone who would have the patience to be a model for me while i stumble around on my learning process.
so i've been very indulgent and utilized myself as the subject in my experimentation with light. These ones (above and below) are two of my favourites.
i took so many images but of course most of them are crap but it is so much fun just to play. have a long way to go and so much to learn but that to me is the biggest part of the fun - i love learning!!!
also finally managed to upload some photo's from bad dog ball - which was so long ago now but i thought i'd share....the outfit at least
but enough of that indulgence...i've also been indulging in one of my other passtimes by watching all of OZ on dvd...love this series...so violent and haunting...and then of course there are the beautiful men...
